Who is David Marshall?
David Marshall is recognised by jewellers and jewellery lovers alike for the uniqueness of his sculptural designs and the quality of his craftsmanship. David has received many awards and has exhibited internationally.
David’s truly exceptional jewellery plays on intelligently moulded forms that blend anecdote and symbol, volumes and lines.
My jewellery comes from the same creative source as my sculpture – my Edinburgh upbringing and the memory, now 60 years ago, of kilt, sporran and skien-dhu. As a counter balance to working on large sculptures it is an interesting challenge to create scaled down abstract pieces and to incorporate Celtic motifs, pieces that then have a practical use while still being miniature hand crafted works of art.
