The Proclamation of the Irish Republic ‘Forógra na Poblachta’ was read out at four minutes past noon on Easter Monday, April 24th 1916, from the steps of the General Post Office in Dublin by Patrick Pearse.

One of five hand crafted silver pieces commemorating the one hundredth anniversary of the 1916 rising. This pendant entitled ‘Republic’ commemorates the 1916 Easter Week Rising and the declaration of the first Irish Republic.

The pendant has a traditional Celtic motif design on the front as well as an inscription in Gaelic ‘Éirí Amach na Cásca 1916 – 2016′.  [Easter Rising 1916 – 2016]. It is also available in a rose gold finish.

On the back the names of all seven Signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic are inscribed: Pádraig Pearse, James Connolly, Thomas Clarke, Thomas MacDonagh, Sean MacDermott, Joseph Plunkett, Eamonn Ceannt.
